—Big Yellow Trade Gothic ‘g’
This reminds me of the Ivan Chermayeff 9 in New York (but obviously on a smaller scale) It was created for the Giovane cafe and wine bar in Vancouver.
The font was originally designed by Jackson Burke in 1948

—Painter Tom French just posted a number of new paintings in preparation for his upcoming exhibition titled Don’t Look Back at Zero Cool Gallery in London later this month. French’s acrylic works often depict couples in seemingly amorous relationships that create the optical illusion of a skull, pieces that walk the line between beautiful and unsettling. Just squint or take a few steps back from your monitor for maximum effect. You can see much more of his work on Flickr, and prints are available at Zero Cool. (by Christopher )
—Home is a recent sculptural installation by Colombian artist Miler Lagos. The piece was constructed at MagnanMetz Gallery late last year using carefully stacked books to create a compact dome that is entirely self-supporting.
